Alhamdulillah our 5th summer Quran memorisation camp for the blind in Gaza has ended successfully and we are moving go the closing event - the competition to memorise surah al Imran open to all blind people in Gaza , young or old.

Raed Qaddura , a post grad student from Gaza who had travelled around Malaysia last month as imam terawih for the NGO MyCARE , came to visit Al Fitrah foundation office yesterday. He met our staff Firdaus who had also led terawih prayers at a masjid here, who showed him the braille Quran.

Students at AlBasiir school for the blind reading the surah Yasin with English translation that they have just received from alfitrah foundation.

Their headmaster said

"The book is small and they loved it. Some of them took to their dormitories already To read on their beds and bring for Solatul fajar. "

AlFitrah foundation raised money to provide the students of AlBasiir school for the Blind with food for Iftar and suhoor for the month of Ramadan and new clothes for Eid. Jazakallah khairan to all donors . 

Said Omar Abshir, Marwo Abshir and Maida Abshir are three blind children in a family from Adan Yabal District, Middle Shabelle region of Somalia. 

It was a very sad for me to see three young blind children in a family as I was welcoming them to the school to register. On the other side the blind children were very happy and having their Eid. Alhamdulillah.

It is yet for them to be admitted as students in the school since they are still young BUT Insha Allah we will take them to the hospital for treatment since they are seriously sick and having health problems. We will as well take them for eyes check up to see if there is any possibility of them to regain their sight.
